Counseling/Therapy
G. Lee Club currently serves North Carolina clients, offering individual therapy services. Therapy, also known as counseling or psychotherapy, involves a professional relationship between a trained therapist, educated with a Master’s Degree (or more) in the field of counseling/social work, and a client.
Therapy aims to address specific mental health concerns, improve coping strategies, and promote personal growth and development. Therapists utilize various therapeutic techniques and interventions tailored to the client's needs and goals.
Sessions are private and confidential, regulated under state licensure, and documented for insurance and billing purposes. Counseling provides a diagnosis, treatment plan and opportunities for referrals for other therapeutic services.
Sessions are 30-50 minutes and are based on the individual’s needs and desires. Therapy sessions typically occur on a regular basis, ranging from weekly to biweekly meetings.
We accept private pay clients and are affiliated with select Insurance companies.
Sessions start at $150

EMDR Therapy
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a type of therapy designed to help people heal from traumatic experiences. During EMDR sessions, a therapist guides you through recalling distressing memories while you focus on a bilateral movement. This process helps your brain reprocess the traumatic memories so they’re less intense and easier to manage, reducing the emotional impact they have on you over time.
What is bilateral movement and why does it work?
Bilateral movement, often used in therapies like EMDR, involves engaging both sides of the brain by stimulating them alternately. This can be done through eye movements, tapping, or sounds that shift from one side to the other.
The idea behind this is that by engaging both sides of the brain while thinking about a traumatic memory, it helps the brain to process the memory in a way that makes it less distressing. Essentially, it allows your brain to "digest" the memory, so it no longer feels as overwhelming or painful when you think about it. It's similar to how your brain naturally processes information during REM sleep, where your eyes move back and forth, helping to sort through emotions and experiences.
EMDR sessions start at $150
Professional Listening Services
Services for ANY STATE!!
G. Lee Club offers a very unique opportunity for professional listening services from any state you might be in! Science confirms just how much of a positive impact listening can have on mental well-being.
PL Services offers empathetic (peer-to-peer) listening and emotional support that is strictly confidential! The primary focus is to provide a nonjudgmental space for individuals to express their feelings, thoughts, and concerns. PL is more laid back, taking the pressure of “change” or meeting goals off the table. This can be great for those who do not want a diagnosis that comes with therapy, don’t have insurance, or just need someone to bounce their ideas off of
. Professional listeners allow the client the freedom to talk and not feel like an obligation, gulity or like a burden, as they might with their family and friends. PL services are not as extensive as therapy, nor have all the “red tape” that comes with clinical care. PL can be a great place to organize your thoughts without the pressure to meet goals or follow a structured plan like therapy, however can still have lasting results and impact from guided and intentional conversations.
Disclaimer: *Listeners are skilled in providing empathy; however, they are not acting as licensed therapists or psychiatrists. Listening services are not designed to deal with serious mental illness that requires a mental health professional or medical intervention, and it is not a “crisis hotline,” Therapeutic notes are not taken, nor are any sessions recorded or documented in any way. If the Listener feels that the client needs a higher level of care, they will recommend clinical/professional services. Listeners have the right to end calls without refund if the client engages in unsafe, sexualized, or inappropriate conversations and is not bound to a licensure like a therapist.
Please send us a message under “CONTACT” for a Professional Listener or Admin staff to reach out for service opportunities and scheduling.
