“This piece is supposed to be a representation of a single mother’s sacrifice. My parents divorced when I was younger and my mom was left to raise 3 kids by herself. Working as a nurse, she would do 12 hour shifts and still wake up early to get me ready for school. Even when she was exhausted she always made sure that we had what we needed and never let us see how beat down she really was. Because of this,I dedicated this piece specifically to my beautiful , strong, and independent mother.”
